Batchelor Electrical, in partnership with Virtus Consultants, completed an energy reduction project to the college building through the Government backed Salix loan scheme. The project involved the removal of old inefficient fluorescent light fittings throughout the college with new low wattage LEDs to approximately 1,800 fittings. The project has allowed the college to become more sustainable whilst significantly reducing their energy spend. The interest free Salix loan calculates the energy savings from the LED technology to ensure the college is always cash positive.
