Poole High School secured Salix funding to reduce their carbon footprint. The total project included new boilers, led lighting throughout the school and the installation of a new solar PV system.

The 185kWp PV system covered two standing seam roofs to different blocks and used the latest Synergy inverter technology from SolarEdge linked to the fire alarm system. Panel optimisers help to reduce system yield losses, improve safety through automatic arc fault detection and shutdown and allow for real-time remote visibility of the system.

A customised display screen was published in the reception area of the school to promote the school’s energy reduction drive with real-time solar data.

Batchelor Electrical continue to work with Poole High School via an ongoing solar PV maintenance contract.
